On the heels of a brilliant rookie season at the Kettleer helm,
second-year field manager Garrett Quinn watched his 2003 Kettleers
struggle through the midseason, then turn on the jets after the
all-star game in effort to qualify for the postseason.
The Kettleers went to the wire versus cross-town
and divisional rival Hyannis in hopes of capturing the second place
spot and a trip to the divisional playoff series versus Bourne,
but the Cotuit boys fell just short. Following the season, Quinn
departed the Cotuit organization and handed the reigns over to former
Wareham Gatemen field manager and longtime UNC head coach Mike Roberts.
