Paul Poplin • Assistant Coach

Paul works at Triple P Baseball, where he enjoys motivating the next generation of athletes. He is also the pitching coach at the local high school. He works at the Don Poplin Insurance Agency along side his parents Don and Jane. Paul was drafted out of high school by the California Angels. He pitched for UNC at Chapel Hill in 1997 and UNC at Charlotte for the 1998 and 1999 seasons, then drafted by the Minnesota Twins. An injury in 2000 ended his baseball career. Paul’s brother, Don Jr., works for the Cleveland Indians, and sister Debra works for NASCAR. Paul lives in Matthews, NC.
