An all-conference outfielder for the Apaches in 2000, hitting .417 with 10 home runs, 54 RBI and 66 runs scored in 52 games. Second-team all-America and first-team all-region as a sophomore, while winning academic all-America honors. Member of the NJCAA national all-star team which toured Japan. High School - 1998 graduate of Clear Lake High ... Three-year letterman. Named all-state and all-greater Houston as a senior, earning District 24-5A MVP honors in ’98. Also all-district and the Falcons’ MVP as a junior in ’97. Hit .442 with eight home runs and 31 RBI as a senior, and had a career .370 BA with 15 home runs and 77 RBI.
