a sophomore, while winning academic all-America honors. Member of

1998 graduate of Clear Lake High ... Three-year letterman. Named
all-state and all-greater Houston as a senior, earning District
24-5A MVP honors in ’98. Also all-district and the Falcons’
MVP as a junior in ’97. Hit .442 with eight home runs and 31 RBI
as a senior, and had a career .370 BA with 15 home runs and 77
RBI. Led Falcons to two trips to the regional semifinals with a
25-7 record in ’98, Lake’s single-season wins record. Had a
