Garrett Quinn
Florida, Pitching Coach 

 

Garrett is in his third season as the volunteer assistant coach for the University of Florida. Garrett is responsible for assisting with the pitching staff and serving as the bullpen coach during games. Garrett played at the collegiate level at the University of Maine from 1994-97 and served as the volunteer assistant coach at his alma mater in 1998. A fight-handed pitcher, he went 9-3 during his senior season while earning America East Conference Pitcher of the Year honors. Garrett was a four year letterwinner, and served as team captain in his final two seasons. Garrett played professionally with the Bangor Blue Ox, and independent league affiliate upon completion of his collegiate career. Garrett last summer traveled to Puerto Rico as coach for the Roberto Clemente All Stars. Garrett served as the pitching coach for the Edenton (N.C.) Steamers in the Coastal Plain League during the summer of 1999. Garrett is pursuing a Master's in Leadership in Higher Education at Florida, is single and resides in Gainesville. He enjoys playing golf in his spare time.
