Played one season at the University of Tennessee ... was 4-6 with a 5.01 ERA in 17 appearances on the mound, starting 15 games ... was one of the Volunteers' weekend starters in his first collegiate season ... won his first four decisions ... struck out 68 batters in 88.0 innings of work ... held opponents to a .264 batting average.

HIGH SCHOOL:
Earned four letters at Harrison High School ... named Baseball America's top overall prospect in Indiana during his senior year ... struck out 265 batters in his career, third on the Raiders' career list ... was an all-state selection as a senior, posting an 8-2 record with a 2.30 ERA ... fanned 117 batters in 76 innings during his senior campaign ... named the Lafayette Journal & Courier's 2005 Big School Player of the Year ... was an all-conference honoree as a sophomore, junior and senior ... earned Harrison's Top Gun Award as a sophomore and posted the low ERA on the team ... was a high school teammate of Purdue pitcher Dan Sattler.
