Career, Scholastic and Collegiate Highlights: This 9th round
draft pick in the MLB 2005 draft was named NCAA Division I
Independent Pitcher of the Week and NCCAA Student-Athlete of the
week for his play during February 19-24. Meaker earned this honor by
compiling a 1.12 ERA with 15 strikeouts in 8.0 innings of work. As a
starting pitcher he has continued to mow down the competition
recently picking up his fifth victory of season with 86 innings
pitched and 66 K’s overall.
