Kevin started his coaching career as an assistant on the UNC baseball staff. He primarily worked with the Bears outfielders. Kimball earned his bachelors in Kinesiology from Northern Colorado in 2000.
Prior to coaching Kimball enjoyed a standout two-year career at UNC after transferring from Southern Idaho Junior College. In 1999 the Great Falls, Montana native was named team captain, started in centerfield, and led the team in batting average (.360), doubles (7), triples (3), and stolen bases (28). Over two seasons, Kimball batted .356 with 16 doubles, five triples, six home runs, and 45 runs batted in. Following his UNC career, Kimball had a short stint in the Los Angeles Dodger organization.
From 2002-2004 Kimball was the volunteer assistant at Southern Illinois University where he also earned his masters in Sport Management. Kevin is currently coaching high school baseball in Phoenix, Arizona where he is the head coach at Verrado High School.
