Santa Fe Community College left handed pitcher John Lambert has been drafted by the Washington Nationals of Major League Baseball in the 36th round (pick 1081), of the 2008 MLB First Year Player’s Draft.
Lambert, a transfer from Wright St., finished the 2008 season for the Saints with a 2-4 record, a 5.58 ERA and 66 strikeouts in 59.2 innings pitched.
The 6’7” sophomore has signed to play next season at North Carolina St. University of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
