BEFORE CLEMSON: Drafted in the 36th round (#1100 overall pick) by the New York Yankees in 2008...Area Code Games, East Coast Pro Showcase, and Preseason Under Armour All-American All-Star...#3 prospect in Connecticut by Perfect Game...had a 7-0 record, 0.07 ERA, and 83 strikeouts, and allowed just 12 hits in 41.0 innings pitched as a junior at Salisbury (CT) School...pitched a no-hitter as a junior...hit .470 with five homers and 45 RBIs as a junior...had a 24-1 career record...first-team All-New England quarterback who passed for over 5,100 yards and 58 touchdowns along with 21 rushing touchdowns...led his team to a 38-2 record in four years as a starting quarterback, as he earned all-conference honors all four years...Boston Globe Player-of-the-Year in football as a senior...lettered five times in baseball, four times in football, and once in basketball at Salisbury School, where he was coached by Mark Leavitt.
