Junior shortstop from Bowling Green, Ohio ... will co-captain the Buckeyes in 1997 ... a career .313 hitter and .948 fielder ... has started 112 games for the Buckeyes ... 1995 Baseball America second team freshman All-American ... voted to the Big Ten Playoffs All Tournament Team ... hit .370 with runners in scoring position ... twice named an OSU Scholar-Athlete and a 1996 member of the Academic All-Big Ten team ... High School-second team All-Ohio and first-team all-league as a senior ... hit .438 with 8 doubles, 28 RBI and 17 stolen bases as a senior ... finished his high school career with a .416 batting average and 36 stolen bases ... helped lead team to three league titles and two top 15 rankings in his three seasons on the varsity.
