Sophomore from Chicago, IL ... came to SDSU as a true freshman in 1998 after transferring from Arizona State which he attended during the fall of 1997 ... in high school was a three year letter winner in baseball and golf... Went 11-2 as a senior with a 1.93 ERA in 90 innings pitched... Recorded 90 strikeouts compared to only 19 walks as a senior...Also hit .384 with 38 RBI, 10 doubles and five home runs...1997 All-State, All-Conference, All-Area and All-Academic selection...Team captain as a senior...Also lettered one year in tennis ... Parents: Robert and Margaret Garber ...
