hit, run the bases or pitch... Worked his way into three starts
in his inaugural season of Division I baseball... Started in left
field against Texas A&M and Southern California and once as
the designated hitter vs. Texas... Slugged a pair of hits, scored
twice and had a sacrifice bunt in the 12-1 win over 18th-ranked
USC... Came off the bench to deliver a pinch-hit single against
Baylor at Minute Maid Park... Fifteen of his 26 at bats were against
teams that were ranked in the top 25 when the Owls played them...
Made two appearances on the mound, against Missouri State and Western
Athletic Conference foe Louisiana Tech... Perfect defensively in
eight chances in the outfield... Maintained a 3.42 grade point average
to earn selection to the Western Athletic Conference all-academic
team.

in College Station... Three-year starter and letterman for the Tigers
under coaches Scotty Pugh and Rex Sanders... Two-time all-state
honoree, three-time all-Brazos Valley honoree and three-time first
team all-District 13-5A selection... Starter and letterman for the
Tigers in football... Member of the National Honor Society... Maintained
a 3.6 grade point average and graduated cum laude.
