and the preseason team catcher...made an impact a year ago in his
first season earning Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-America honors
and was selected to the CollegeBaseballInsider.com honorable mention
All-America team...2003 Western Athletic Conference Freshman of
the Year and was the first team All-WAC catcher...expected to again
be a leader both offensively and defensively...versatility allows
him to play several positions but is slated to again be the Wolf
Pack catcher.
Hayes is a versatile athlete who has the ability to play any outfield
position, third base or even catch.

SCHOOL: Two-sport athlete lettering twice in baseball and football
at Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, Calif....batted .410...twice
named to All-Mission League baseball and football teams...Most Valuable
Receiver Award for football...member of two NDHS Mission League

Hayes...enjoys mountain biking, swimming, surfing, and playing video
