Egelton Fans 10 in Stellar Relief Performace

March 9, 2004

Incoming 2004 Kettleer righty Ken Egelton showed a good reason why the Cotuit braintrust of Murphy and Roberts selected him to come to the Cape this summer.

Egleton came into The Citadel's game versus Elon college on March 13 with a 2-1, and earned his third victory of the season for the Bulldogs. He gave up one run on eight scattered hits in seven innings of work. Egleton 10 strike out effort tied a career high in strike outs.

On March 9, Egleton struck out 10 College of Charleston batters in a 19-3 win for the Bulldogs. Elon's Lance Cole (1-2) took the loss on as he was responsible for the four of The Citadel's runs. He pitched only one-and-two-thirds while giving up five hits and two walks.
