Stages Solid Performance for Stetson Hatters

Making
his first appearance since March 18, Corey Kluber pitched five shutout
innings, allowing just one hit as the Hatters defeated Belmont 9-1
Sunday afternoon in Nashville. Stetson has now won eight straight
games and 11 of their
last 13.
Kluber remains at the top of the Stetson's pitching
staff with a 2.76 earned run average and 4-1 mark on the hill.
The 2006 Kettleers are Shaping up More Than

combined diligence over the winter in signing some of the nation’s
top collegiate players is shaping up as nothing short of exciting
as Cotuit readies for the upcoming 2006 campaign. Here are some

James Madison sophomore Kellen Kulbacki is laser hot this spring…leading
the Dukes (22-13) with a .454 batting average through 35 games…
has started and played in 35 games… leads the team in home
runs with 17 and 52 RBI… an impressive .969 slugging percentage,
.550 on base percentage (17 walks) and has committed just two errors
in the outfield for a .950 fielding percentage…Texas frosh
Kyle Russell is currently 4th on the Longhorns (24-12) in hitting
with a .320 clip… has belted 7 HRs and has 32 RBI… returning
Kettleer Julio Borbon is tops in hitting this spring for the Tennessee
Vols (19-14) … hitting .376 through April 15…and is
13-16 stealing on the basepaths…Fellow Tennessee Vol Tony
Delmonico is right behind him with a .352 clip through April 15…
South Carolina freshman infielder Reese Havens is tearing it up
for the Gamecocks (27-7) this spring… and is 4th on the team
in hitting with a .311 clip… and solid .965 fielding percentage
with only five errors this spring… has 25 RBI in 33 games
and 20 walks… teammate Justin Smoak has 6 homers and 25 RBI…
LSU freshman J.T. Wise is making quite a name for himself down South,
tied for 1st on the Tigers’ squad (24-11) in hitting at .338
with 6 HRs and 23 RBI… Notre Dame sophomore Brett Lilley is
ripping away for the Fightin’ Irish (24-8) at .323 this spring
with 10 RBI… sophomore southpaw closer Dan Moskos has 5 saves
this spring and is tops for the Clemson staff with a 1.26 ERA…
has 24 Ks in 28.2 innings of relief work… 6’9”
lefty Dave Duncan of Georgia Tech is 3-1 thus far this spring with
26 Ks in 35 innings of work… South Carolina righty frosh Mike
Cisco is a stellar 4-0 this spring for the Gamecocks and sports
a 3.11 ERA with 31 Ks and just 9 walks in 35.2 innings pitched…
East Carolina’s T.J. Hose is second in the team in ERA at
2.74 and has a 3-3 record with 50 Ks in 62.1 innings pitched…
Tennessee righty Josh Lindblom is smokin’ hot with 58 Ks in
54.2 innings of work … he is 4-2 with a 3.79 ERA so far this
spring for the Vols… UC-Riverside (18-13) sophomore righty
James Simmons has something to brag about out West as the flamethrowing
righty stands tall with a 6-3 mark in 10 appearances, the top ERA
on the staff at 2.77 and has 59 Ks in 65 innings with just 10 walks…
