Michael Koehler  •  RHP  •  UC-Irvine

Koehler was a reliever for the Middletown Giants this summer, recording a 2-1 record and 2.59 ERA. he also picked up two saves in 11 appearances, while striking out 22 batters. He allowed seven earned runs on 15 hits in 24.1 innings and held opposing batters to a .179 average

At UC-Irvine this year, Koehler was a key figure out of the bullpen, posting a 3.68 ERA and a 1-4 record. He was fifth on the team with 36 strikeouts and allowed 24 earned runs on 57 hits in 58.2 innings. He picked up UC-Irvine's lone win this year versus Pepperdine.

2002 Summer: Was 0-3 with the Madison Mallards...appeared in 11 games and started in four...gave up 15 earned runs on 32 hits in 29.1 innings.

2002: Was the team's primary closer…appeared in 23 games…made three starts…team-highs of six saves and a 3.63 ERA…was 1-3 on the season…struck out 40 in 34.2 innings of work…averaged 10.4 strikeouts a game…gave up 22 runs on 37 hits.
