Jeremy Boles • Assistant Coach • Young Harris College
(GA)
Jeremy
Boles returns to Young Harris College this spring in his second
season as a collegiate baseball coach.
Last year, Boles played for the Liberty University
Flames. While at Liberty, he led the 2004 Big South Conference in
batting (.398), hits (90) and runs scored (61) and was named to
the Big South first-team all-conference squad. Boles finished his
senior season with 31 stole bases and ranked 22nd in the county
in stolen bases per game. He also ranked 31st in the nation in hitting
and 39th in runs per game.
Following his stellar senior season, Boles was
named to the 2004 University Division All-State Baseball team chosen
by the Virginia College Sports Information Directors (VaSID).
"Jeremy Boles was an outstanding
player for us and he displayed a great work ethic and passion for
the game," said Liberty University Head Coach Matt Royer. "I
am sure he will take the same qualities and apply them to his new
role as coach at Young Harris."
Boles, a 2000 graduate of Forsyth Central High
School in Cumming, GA, played two seasons at Young Harris College
(2001-2002), and hit .375 as a freshman with 35 stolen bases. As
a sophomore, Boles logged a .315 average with two home runs and
45 stolen bases, which at the time was a YHC record.
