A SOPHOMORE (2005): Started in all 54 games, including
29 at third base and 25 in right field...earned all-Sunshine State
honors after hitting a team-high .329, despite a slow start in which
he was batting only .243 on March 26...increaded his average over
80 points after moving to the outfield...led the team with 72 hits,
two triples and 23 multi-hit games, while also ranking second on
the squad with 35 runs, 12 doubles, 31 RBI and 11 stolen bases...ranked
second in the A-Sun with 50 hits and third with a .410 average during
conference play...went a career-high 5-for-5 with a triple, a home
run and four RBI against Florida Atlantic (4/2)...went 4-for-5 with
a a triple and an RBI at Georgia Southern (4/27)...tied his career
high with two doubles at No. 4 Miami (5/8)...in summer league play,
he earned Valley Baseball League Most Valuable Player honors after
leading the league with 57 hits, 44 runs scored and 16 doubles...he
also ranked third in the league with a .347 batting average...ranked
second in stolen bases (20) total bases (100) and total plate appearances
(196), while also leading the Luray Wranglers to a league-best 30-14
record and a .281 team batting average.

A FRESHMAN (2004): Appeared in 32 games, including 19
starts in right field and one start as the third baseman...led the
Dolphins with a .377 batting average...ranked second in the team
on-base percentage (.455) and third in slugging percentage (.506)...batted
.393 vs. righties...also hit .345 with runners on base and .471
with runners in scoring position...collected his first hit at No.
13 Florida State (2/16)...connected on his first home run and drove
in a season-high two runners at Troy (5/14)...went 3-for-4 on six
occasions, including four consecutive games (4/4-10) in which he
batted .750 with three doubles, two RBI and nine runs scored...earned
A-Sun Academic All-Conference honors.
HIGH
SCHOOL: Three-year starter at Englewood High School as
a shortstop for coach Lee Geiger...earned all-Gateway Conference
and all-area honors as a sophomore, junior and senior...as a senior,
he hit .395 en route to all-Gateway Conference and second-team all-area
honors after finishing runner-up at district for the second year
in a row...as a junior, he batted .420 to earn all-Gateway Conference
and third-team all-area honors...as a sophomore, hit .452 to earn
all-Gateway Conference and third-team all-area honors...also a four-year
letterwinner for the Englewood swim team, qualifying for state as
a junior.
