Manuel Robello Scholarship
(Barnstable, Mashpee, and Sandwich high school seniors)

Established and first awarded in 1987, the scholarship is given by the Cotuit Athletic Association in memory of Manuel Robello, a member of the first Cotuit Kettleer baseball team in 1947 and a long-time supporter of the Cotuit Athletic Association until his death on March 19, 1986. 

The award had historically been awarded to a Barnstable High School senior who intended to major in a sports related field. Recent awards, however, have been expanded to include high school seniors who are legal residents of Barnstable, Mashpee, and Sandwich, with no restriction on college major. In 2006 the award was expanded to two Barnstable High School seniors.

The CAA Scholarship Committee reviews the applications and makes the selections of the recipients. The amount of $750 is paid by check directly to each recipient upon completion in good standing of the Fall Freshman semester. Completed applications should be mailed to: Cotuit Athletic Association, P.O. Box 411, Cotuit, MA 02635, and must be received by March 1 of the applicant's senior  year in high school.
