It’s winter in New England, but pardon us for thinking ahead about how that Cape Cod jewel, Lowell Park, will look like come June this year.
The Lowell Park Improvement Project is steaming along despite the wintry weather. The new lavatories are all enclosed which allows the contractors to work inside the next several weeks. All other elements of the project are also right on schedule according to the individual who’s overseeing the construction.
“We’re right on schedule with phase one of the project,” explained Ward Dunning, the CAA Clerk of the Works for the project. “This part of the project is getting the lavatories built, reconstructing the kitchen, adding a shed, and probably a batting cage. Once completed with the construction phase, we’ll move on to the landscaping. Everything should be a go for Opening Day, June 12th!”
