Baseball’s ever-changing landscape shifted again last year with the debut of American League Rookie of the Year Shohei Ohtani. The Angels reaped the benefit of his talents on the mound and at the plate, with the Japanese phenom going 4-2 with a 3.31 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 63 strikeouts in 51 1/3 innings as a pitcher and batting .285/.361/.564 with 22 homers and 61 RBIs in 104 games as a DH and pinch-hitter.
