Today’s game between the Cotuit Kettleers and Bourne Braves has been cancelled due to inclement weather at Lowell Park. Due to a 2021 Cape Cod League rule, the game cannot be resumed and made up. The Kettleers were up 5-3 through 3.5 innings, but the game will not count. Cotuit had six hits and an error while the Braves had four hits and an error.
Before the postponement, John Rhodes (Kentucky) had a two-run single to put the Kettleers up 3-2 and ignite a four-run third inning. Nathan Martorella (California) had two RBI. Cole Cummings (UC Santa Barbara) reached base in both of his plate appearances. Due to the cancellation, no stats will be counted.
UP NEXT- The Kettleers have their first off day tomorrow before traveling to Orleans on Thursday evening. Cotuit will take on the Firebirds at 7:00 PM at Eldredge Park. The away game will be the Kettleers’ first against an East Division team. Harrison Cohen (George Washington) will be on the mound for his first start of the summer.
