Cotuit hitter of the game: Eric Brown (Coastal Carolina) was fantastic on Tuesday evening, notching two hits and collecting three RBI’s. Brown’s best moment of the day was a bases clearing, three-run triple that helped break open the game for Cotuit.
Cotuit pitcher of the game: Ian Foggo (Lenoir-Rhyne) entered the game in the third and threw a spotless four innings to keep the first place Bourne Braves lineup at bay. Foggo was incredibly effective, giving up no hits and surrendering no walks while striking out four. This was third appearance of the season for the Lenoir-Rhyne product, and his second straight effective extended relief outing.
Cotuit hit of the game: Noah Bridges (UNC-Wilmington) provided the hit that gave the Kettleers the lead for good in Tuesday’s game. Bridges laced a two-run triple in the bottom of the third to make the game 4-2 in favor of Cotuit.
Cotuit pitching moment of the game: Zach Fruit (Eastern Michigan) found himself in a bases loaded jam with no outs in the top of the second. The right-hander hunkered down to escape the inning only giving up one run to keep Cotuit in the game.
